Many fern species are little known and threatened with extinction. The citizen-science project SwiF of Friends of ferns in Switzerland aims to promote knowledge and protection of the fern flora in Switzerland. The project is carried out in cooperation with Info Flora and cantonal and university institutions and comprises four complementary thematic areas that offer a wide range of opportunities for volunteers to participate.
